SK Custom Stone Carving, founded by Sean P. Klinksiek, is a full-service stone carving and sculpture studio based in the Texas Hill Country, just north of San Antonio. The studio specializes in custom stonework and sculpture designed to bring beauty, craftsmanship, and lasting character to homes, ranches, churches, and commercial spaces.
Sean creates functional and decorative stone artwork, including entryways, fireplace mantels and surrounds, wine storage, garden ornamentation, architectural details, and custom home decor. In addition to stone carving, he also produces clay and bronze sculpture using the traditional lost-wax casting method.
Custom carved stone and bronze sculpture add more than beauty - they create a focal point and give a space a sense of permanence, distinction, and timeless craftsmanship. Sean works closely with each client from initial concept and design through fabrication, installation, and long-term care, ensuring every piece is thoughtfully designed and built to complement its setting.

Meet
Sean Klinksiek
Sean Klinksiek studied art under San Antonio artist Jacob Pope before majoring in art at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. After college, he apprenticed under his great-uncle, master stonemason and stone carver Mason "Bubba" Hunt, in San Antonio, Texas. There, he learned the foundations of traditional stone carving from a true master of the craft.
Sean has worked professionally in stone carving since 2004 and has built a reputation for craftsmanship, versatility, and attention to detail. Based in Bulverde, Texas, he serves clients throughout Texas and across the United States. His work has appeared in fine art shows and festivals nationwide.
He is experienced in carving a wide range of natural stone and particularly enjoys working with native Texas limestone, New Mexico travertine, and Colorado marble. His portfolio reflects a broad range of styles, from architectural stone elements to sculptural and commemorative works.
